    That's pretty much my setup except I have chosera for the 1k 3k. They work great and are splash and go, so no need to soak them. I only use naturals now, but if I had to use synthetics those are my first choice.

    That blade gives me Japanese western razor envy, OCD! Hope she proves to be a fine shaver. One day I hope to add one to my collection since I hear on the whole they perform very well.

    You'll find that all Japanese razors are great. They don't have to be Tanifuji or Hayshi. Of the half dozen or so that I have, they all are well made and all take exceptional edges.

    This landed yesterday however I'd spaced off posting about it.

    Vintage Starrett 5 1/2" Flush Cutter.

    I had it sent to a friend who is an accomplished machinist and he checked it over and after finding that the hardened jaws had been installed opposite from where they should be he sent them along to me.
