    Nice Bob,

Looks exactly like a duck or a Dovo 25 blank

Thanks, could well be. It reminded me of a Blue Wonder by Plumacher that I have with the blued tang and spine. Hoping it is extra hollow or bellied hollow. Condition seemed pretty good so fingers crossed.

Like the Herkenrath blanks that Dovo, Revisor, Aust et all use now I believe a fair few vintage Soligen outfits used the same blanks, I could be wrong of course but they all look so similar.

    Fingers crossed you'll love it.

That's beautiful. The etching on the blade is great, I've never seen "fraise back" describing what I call a faux frame back.

Should be here middle of next week...
. Genco Razor Usually I don't choose US brands but condition and price seemed good and thought I'd give it a try.

They arrived yesterday! They were, as expected, Not 'never used' as stated.

1 of the 7 is toast. Small chip dead center of edge, then cancer started creeing towards the spine. It appears there was a thin crack from the edge, creating an avenue for the water and rust to follow. IF if was just the rust, I'm sure I could fix it. However, the crack is all the way thru. Kinda hard to tell from the pics. But, you can see it in the magnified pics.

3 others looked like they tried chopping a tree down with them. Chips in the edge that turned into micro 'tears'. After completely removing the edge to good metal , surprisingly enough, they all took a nice bevel.

They others just needed the bevels reset.

6 rehoned and stropped up. 'Sunday' is the one with cancer, so I shaved this morning with 'Monday.' These little blades sure talk a lot !! All in all, I can't complain, as I fell I got them right.

    Here's the cancer patient:

Micro of the same: The crack is dead center in the below pic, heading towards 5 O Clock.

This is a little higher on the blade, still showing the crack. The thick black horizontal line at the bottom of the pic, is the bottom line of the center 'etching.'
