It's funky but I like it. I haven't received it yet but I think the marbled texture is natural wearing rather than dried shaving soap. It's an Ever-Ready rubberized finish and I think the white is what is behind the black (from looking at other copies of this brush).

Shoubadani stone. I think that's how you spell it. My first stone. Figured I start with something just for touching up my razors. I hear its going to be tough to lap so I picked up some sandpaper and a piece of Granite tile from Home depot.
I have an older razor that needs a touch-up and I'm not worried about it too much. It had the Bevel done by a pro so I'm crossing my fingers I can get a HHT out of it real soon.It's just Sharpening, right?
