    Aloha!

Some of the finds here are amazing. I have never had much luck with antique fairs, flea markets and such. It seems I only find items I USED to be interested in, but not items I am CURRENTLY interested in. What I should do is pretend I am not into razors and shaving for a while and instead am into old guitars or something completely different. Odds are then I'll find a bunch of razors and shaving gear!

Congrats to all of you that are finding such great things at the fairs and shops. I have more luck at garage sales and on Craigslist.

It might work. I quit looking for safety razors and must have passed on 50 of them today. I picked up the Red Tip to PIF to somebody that wants one.

This find wasn't from my monthly antiques fair. I was in a Chicago suburb today for a funeral and stumbled across an antiques shop while killing time before the service. They were having a sale and I picked this up. The replaceable blade looks like it will clean up nicely.

Nice razor. I'm curious about the shave once it is up and running.
I never really understood why the changeable blade never took off. It seems that an exchange a blade service would be an easy sell. I also never understood how the canned goo has managed to push the brush and soap out of the top spot in the market place. Too many things to ponder.

    P.S.
    Sorry about the funeral.

I found one of those, at a estate sale. Got the guard, and extra blades, too.

    Caution...watch the stabilizer, when honing.

If you wipe that out...its worthless.

I like using it with the guard, for cleaning up the back of my neck after giving myself a hair cut.

Probably safe to assume that one should always use tape, as well? Only one "spine" to be shared amongst several edges when honing.
