I got a text from a friend I know from around the antiques markets this morning. He was at a garage sale and sent a picture of a few items. I stopped by and ended up with a few brushes and a Beau Brummel straight razor. I was happy to find a Dubl Duck M-2 among the brushes, though it appears dented around the rim maybe? I'm planning on reknotting the brushes.

This is the first Dubl Duck brush that I've owned and I'm not really sure the best way to get the knot out. It appears like the handle comes apart but I don't want to force it. Also, I'm wondering if the dents around the rim are a worry and can they be fixed? I'll be looking for a good knot for this one once I figure out what size.

The Torrey is in great shape, the Pipe Razor needs scales, the Joseph Allen has a little hone wear, The Greaves has rust should clean up though, the H.M. Christensen is dirty but will clean up, and the Henckels is good except a broken end of one scale. I like the original box with the Henckels with the sticker inside for the store in Boston where it was sold.

I am quite envious that you found one of my white whales.
