I plan to use them all, display them and put all in rotation or if I don't love them trade. I'm in it for the long haul I love every bit of it, not to mention this site is amazing, but mainly for the people on it.

    Here is what I did...

Thank you very much. To the dremel we go...once the wife gets home from her ladies night out. Have to clean all those razors and inside of the handle then wake tomorrow and back to that same store maybe grab the rest of his straight and random sets of scales.

I dont recall where the thread was located, but I just recently spotted a post here on the forums of somebody who had his DD brush handle melt from heat while trying to remove the old knot. Take your time so your dremel doesnt get hot either! Good Luck!

Well back to the shop again there was a Gillette DE razor with a very short handle that caught my eye and since I got the full size.one yesterday why not get the baby one as well. Not to mention there were a few broken shavettes that had nice scales that I could use. Off to the hunt, after a hot shower and 5 shots of espresso to start the day.

I must say its going to take some time as one needs scales and two others need scale replacements. Though after an initial cleaning and about 10passes on th cromium oxide paddle then the other material that i have(forgot its name) finally the smooth leather several are shave ready without touching a stone.

I just found one at my grandfather's house! I don't know if it's any good, I have never used a straight razor before.
