Thanked: 1184So this would only work if you put and @ in front of a name then ? I get FB tagged all the time. Have no clue what is going on. Am I ignoring somebody somewhere ? And you guys better be nice to Ed. I hear he has an @worm that will eat your hard drive if he delivers it through a PM.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Tagging is, for instance, if a group photo is taken, and if someone tags someone else in the photo for whatever reason (another person in the photo's friends, GF, wife etc..), that photo then makes it out onto that persons FB page and the internet. So a photo of you and some friends, once tagged, could get tagged again and again as it moves through various social circles and could end up anywhere, having been tagged and shared...and if the photo has the names of the people in the photo, now basically your picture and your name, and chances are your location are also now spread all over the internet. Now we all have some exposure to identity theft if someone was specifically looking for you/us per se, but putting your name, photo and location out on that interweb is something I'm not interested in....bit paranoid maybe, but I'm OK with that....

I don't know if tagging is the correct term for it, but that's what OP used and from his subsequent explanation I definitely know what he's talking about. When I looked at the additional software to accomplish it to verify it's a feasible feature that's what they call it too, 'tagging', so I think that's probably the accepted term.

I would be against it personally, usernames and posts flying all over the interwebs would be hilarious as those that didn't know it originated from this forum would be hitting, "reply" and the forum would be flooded with texts from everyone and their Mothers, Fathers, friends, besties, BFF's...LOL...all those emoticons, OMG's, and hashtags....
