No, it wouldn't be all over the interweb. When somebody types @Phrank; in the post it will be hyperlinked to your SRP profile page and also on the notification area at the top right where you get notifications for new PMs and new likes you'll have similar ones for posts where somebody has typed @Phrank;
That's all that it is to it.
BTW I took my first selfie with my first bestie just one month ago, so I am a proven conservative, but may be because of that I am fairly open to other people doing whatever floats their boat, as long as I can choose to stay out of it.

I regularly look at a blog from Australia about motorcycles which is strange because I have been on one about 3 times in my life. But I do ride a bicycle. I go to the site for the aesthetics of the bikes and the comments of the regular guys who post. Occasionally they really rip into a builder for something they did on the bike and these posts and their retorts can be pretty funny. Sometimes I feel like SRP might benefit from a little more of a bare knuckle approach rather than cravats and top hats. I don't encourage meanness, but a little more constructive criticism, gently pointing out the absurdity, or just a contrary opinion and offering a way to resolve the problem. But, I guess you can't go wrong with : if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.

I agree that we should be able to point out the obvious, and it can be done - just in the right way.
If someone has put a lot of time and effort into making something for themselves, then why do I care if it is ugly as sin or weird looking. If the issue is of a practical nature or the item is going to be made for sale then that's a bit different.Last edited by edhewitt; 01-13-2015 at 10:24 AM.

Agreed, if a member posts a pic of his first razor, a 14/8's with scales made from a pallet wood, the comments seem to be encouraging and few. You can see the asterisks I put under my Forum name.....just anticipating the future....I have some impulse control issues. The forum is good for me as a training aid. But I fully expect to be ejected some day.

Thanked: 1936The only downfall of tagging that I can see at this time would be the popular members of this forum getting slammed with additional links to posts. Think about how often Lynn gets referenced & if he was tagged as often as he is referenced it WOULD be a negative...in their eyes. I guess the second downfall would be that it would add to the taxation on the system/server...but that stuff is beyond my knowledge...thus "tagging Gugi & Bruno" with the question.

Maybe there could be a list of those who want to be tagged. This might be particularly useful for vendors.
