Frankenstein, you keep referring to high-end stuff. Collector's items. Not cheap. I only buy good stuff anymore, so the classifieds bore me.
Were someone to put a 700.00 razor on there, he would be chastised as a rip-off, even if the piece was worth more, or less. Better to promote it to the world than just here?
I seem to recall that you cannot list something in the classifieds which is on an auction site?
It seems the classifieds are underused. The Vendors rules and such get things cloudy.
Lots of jealousy and competition is generated on EBay. These ain't the old days anymore.
The question is, do we want it here?

The OP was going on about collectors high end stuff. I just thought he was saying there should be a buy sale trade forum. I wasn't supporting his heads up I'm selling a w&b 9/8 with a labelled 10" escher in a thread. No we don't want ebay prices here. I whole heartedly agree that if something is worth a lot of money put it on ebay because you'll get more there then on the classifieds of SRP. That and I like to stir the pot sometimes. It gets boring here sometimes. A little argument is always amusing

Ps. You're lucky you only buy good stuff. I can't afford squat. College takes all my money...

Different world from that of my youth nowadays ......... the entrepreneurs sold the working class down the river ....... to borrow a phrase from the Antebellum South. Killed the goose that laid the golden egg for the many to split the leavings amongst the few.

Antebellum is Latin for 'before war'. So it refers to the time before the American civil war in this instance because of 'South'.

Sold down the river was an expression, according to Mark Twain in his Huckleberry Finn, that black slaves used when their masters sold them from mid western, or northern slave states, to plantations in the deep south that were 'down the river' where they were assumed to be treated more harshly.

Now that you're in college take a history class. I finished 8th grade ...... (laughing with you, not at you)
