FYI, just trying to be helpful

I just tried to place an Ad in the Mall, B/S/T, Razors. Thread is titled "High Art Razor" ... the pics do not show up. Plus I do not see any other ads/threads listed.

I think there is some restriction and mods can see all posts unlike mentors. Tom and Randy, I see both of your posts and also the pictures as well.
I had a member with no badges check it and they can't see the sub-forum at all.

Scott, it sounds like you may have more than one tab/window open to SRP. Close it down to one and see what happens.

the image issue had to do with the difference between mentor and moderator permissions. It's been sorted now.
I have asked everyone to take a last look and then we'll put things live.

No doubt there will be some issues that require moderation and will make us change the rules a bit here or there.

Even the vendor status is pretty cheap, all things considered.
The reason is to make it an attractive option. We want to foster an environment where hobbyists can be encouraged to take their hobby to the next level if they want to, without immediately putting a load of requirements on them (such as having a website) or asking for a large payment up front.

Will there still be a spot for member services?

No. If you want to offer member services you're considered a vendor and you can offer the member service in your sigline.
