It is a yearly fee. We are currently contacting the existing vendors to see if they want to stay in the program or not, and we're still setting up the payment details for ourselves so this is not going to happen tomorrow. But it will be 1 year, counting from the moment you sign up.

We've argued about the amount of the fee, and settled on 100$.
That is not dirt cheap, but otoh if you are offering a service, 100$ over the course of a year is not a huge deal. I don't know what for example razor honing costs these days, but if it's still 20$, that's honing 5 razors over a year to get it back.

By allowing the sigline to contain your offer for member services (and the other benefits) in return for the 100$, people will see your service every time you post in the forum. And for active posters with a couple thousand posts, that is quite a lot. In the old system your member service was in the classifieds so people had to go look for it, and then it depended on where your service was displayed in the list etc. This system rewards the people who contribute to the discussion.

Thanks again, I got very little honing from my classifieds ad so the sig line might get more interest. Would a two tier vender system be possible? Something like $50 for sig line only?

In the meantime, please fix the present threads to post in usable colors and width to present on a smart phone. Thank!

Not at present. For one, the sig line is one of the most valuable things in the vendor program in terms of advertising. And we already have a 2nd tier with the optional banners and own subforum. So we're going to start it with the initial rules, and then we'll gather feedback to see what needs to change.

I've opened the BST forum for all users who already were eligible for posting in the classifieds system.

Will it be at the top where the:

Forum
Library
Chat
Classifieds
SRP Goods

... are located or another spot?

At the moment it's a forum in the 'mall' section between the auction section and the ebay section.
If I get no real problems, I will get the classifieds option at the top removed.

Are the current postings live or test posts?

Difference between a Badge and Banner... Badge is like "Mentor", "Vendor", etc below the users's pic and Banners are like the roving ads along the sides of the main screen?

By becoming a Vendor does that still allow B/S/T (Classifieds) sales posts at the same 10/month limit? Just trying to make sense of someone that restores and hones as a Vendor but also has way too many razors and gear so sells in Classifieds occasionally.

Possible Rules Inclusion:

It would be beneficial to encourage Second and Third positions for potential buyers in case something goes wrong with the First to post they want the item as it may streamline issues as they occur and reduce Re-Postings.

Example: Glen is selling an Unobtanium Razor... Shawn says "I'll take it!"... Bruno says, "I'm second"... JimmyHAD says, "I'm third".

This could also reduce conflict in case something gets reposted and someone who casually stated their interest in a sentence in the original post is overlooked and the item is purchased by a newcomer to the reposted thread.

That is sorta Old-School but does address a lot of what causes initial conflict or issues. Just brainstorming and throwing it out there based on what I've seen in the past.

Atm the 10 month limit is for vendors and regular users alike.
