I pose a request.
In the words of Ron Burgundy, I'm gonna put it out there. If you like it you can take it, if you don't, send it right back.
In the interests of avoiding the appearance of conflicts of interest, would it be possible for the moderation of these blogs to be done by a moderator (or team of moderators) that is unaffiliated with any sales?
p.s. I am stating nothing more than the appearance of conflicts of interest is something to be avoided, if possible.

Personally I think that the Thanks boxes are more distracting than the sig lines. At least the sig lines are in the same box as the post, where the Thanks boxes have their own section after each post, but not part of it. Is there a way to make them less, umm, for lack of a better word, obvious?
By removing the sigs it frees up the moderators so we don't have to police everything.
With vendors in mind, they too will not have sig lines but will instead have the option to write in the blogs that will garnish exposure here on SRP.
Oh, and thanks for all the hard work moderating this site. It can be a grueling and thankless job,

You're welcome. And thanks for the thanks
I understand what you are trying to say. However, sig lines are not in the same box. They take up a lot of space underneath the post.
Additionally, removing sig lines is rather easy, whereas changing other things can be much harder and much more work.

Regardless, do what you think best. Anyone who can run an online discussion forum without either going insane or declaring digital martial law has my utmost respect and sympathy.Last edited by dow; 07-12-2011 at 06:02 PM.

Though I promote my wares through my sigs, this sounds like a neat idea, consistent with what SRP should be known for: Informative, first.
