Such as Arko, euro palmolive,Cella,a 1kg block of cella is the shaving soap bargin of the century IMO.
Bill, what are the ingredients of Cella? I've always been curious about this soap, does it have almond oil or anything like that in it?

An Amazon reviewer says that you can lose the sharp lemony smell by leaving the stick out in the air for a few days; nothing left then but a "good, soapy smell." I'll try that when mine arrives and see how it goes.

Have no clue what the ingrediants are trimmy,Yes it has a slight almond smell, sort of like the now extinct P160.

Thank you! most sites don't have an ingredients list. My daughter has allergies to tree nuts/nuts so it's important that I don't bring anything into the house that could cause issues.

    Default WARNING, TRIMMY72

    CAUTION!!!
    Cocos nucifera = coconut.

I say "caution", because coconut is technically not a nut (it's considered a drupe).

The only thing stopping me from actually keeping one in the house is the urinal cake smell of it.
Quite possibly the worst smelling soap ever made by man. imho
This is the real definition of YMMV!

I admit, I've never spent any time smelling urine cakes, since I expect them to smell like urine, BUT more to the point, I find the smell of Arko to be clean and refreshing, not bad. In fact, it reminds me of some soap we used in the bath when I was a kid...maybe Ivory or Palmolive...and my father was germaphobic, so I know we weren't using urine cakes

Similarly someone in this thread said they don't like DR Harris Arlington, which I love.

PS -- I also get a great lather and shave from Arko.

    Oh well.....to each his own.

I suspect that you're joking, but if not: urinal cakes don't smell like urine! They're those (usually) white cakes that are placed in the urinal to mask the smell of urine, and usually don't use subtle fragrances.

We called them "breath mints" in the Navy!

I've never quite understood the objection to the smell of Arko. To my nose it smells like a combination of just plain old school soap (Ivory or Williams) with a hint of a citrusy smell in the background.

Me too, Arko doesn't bother me at all and it works great. Williams on the other hand smells like a Citronella candle that is used to repeal bugs
