An Amazon reviewer says that you can lose the sharp lemony smell by leaving the stick out in the air for a few days; nothing left then but a "good, soapy smell." I'll try that when mine arrives and see how it goes.
Keep your pivot dry!

This is the real definition of YMMV!
I admit, I've never spent any time smelling urine cakes, since I expect them to smell like urine, BUT more to the point, I find the smell of Arko to be clean and refreshing, not bad. In fact, it reminds me of some soap we used in the bath when I was a kid...maybe Ivory or Palmolive...and my father was germaphobic, so I know we weren't using urine cakes
Similarly someone in this thread said they don't like DR Harris Arlington, which I love.
PS -- I also get a great lather and shave from Arko.
Oh well.....to each his own.Just call me Harold

Thanked: 1185I've never quite understood the objection to the smell of Arko. To my nose it smells like a combination of just plain old school soap (Ivory or Williams) with a hint of a citrusy smell in the background.
The older I get, the better I was
