Thanked: 29This is a really tough task because my favorite soap depends on my mood.
So much of what soap I use depends on the weather, season, how much time I have and etc. I would have to say the Synergy soaps from HowToGrowAMustache are consistently my favorite. I think they are sold on SRD but my favorite from them is one called "The Beach" because it really does smell like the beach. You pick up scents of sun tan lotion, the ocean, sand and other beach type smells.
But also I've been using Col Conk's Amber scent of late because it has been feeling very fallish around my parts and it just seems appropriate. I also used a Col Conk lime flavored in the summer because it just felt like summer. I also throw in my Taylor of Old Bond sandalwood at times just because I love the scent so much.

Cold River Soap Works. Crazy good, maybe the slickest soap I've tried to date.

It is hard to beat the overall qualities of this Italian puck. It has been asked before: Do they make any bad soaps in Italy?

I'm new to all this and searching for the perfect cream/soap.
So far:
Arko soap - I get the best lather and a smooth shave. It is actually hard to rinse off, really smooth stuff. I'm not crazy about the smell.
Van Der Hagen deluxe - great smell, ok lather and ok shave. My wife absolutely loves the smell -- Im on my second puck.
C.O. Bigelow - Great lather, good smell and feels great on the skin. Shave is ok. I use it for travel now -- added benefit is I can find it about any where I go.
