My favorite tallow base shaving soap of all times is Elberel P.160. So far, I have never found anything like it. Too bad it was discontinued many years ago.

I enjoy my MWF and today ordered a puck of Tabac. Let's see how it performs in comparison.

Thanked: 5Just used Original Old Spice tallow based shaving soap. Wonderful scent (much more sophisticated than current old spice products), great slickness and excellent face lather. Used my brand new Ern Gong NOS 6/8 round point straight and got the best BBS shave to date with a straight razor! Loved it so much I went and bought another puck in a classic mug NOS as well...😜👍

Thanked: 60Favorite Tallow Based Shaving Soap
Tabac is my favorite. Probably because it was one of the few soaps, other than Williams, I could source locally back in the day.
Haslinger, GMS and MWF all run a close second. All four of these soaps account for 90% of my shaves the other 10% are tubed creams from the EU. Wars, Lea, SuperMax etc
