The Obie Memorial First Tier Soaps and Creams Thread.

I do wonder.... When the good gentlemen that is Obie first posted his list, did he imagine it would span the years and 170+ pages ? (and counting)

I also wonder how many of those soaps listed back then are still available, or still as good as they once were?

I was gifted a box full of soaps of all different kinds, and I have a habit of only opening 3 at any given moment. I wont open the next until I have used up one. Or in the case of a really lousy soap, turned it into my shower bar. So I have yet to need to buy any soaps the last 2 years!

Almost all the soaps listed should still be available. I know Klar Kabinett is no longer made.
When I began the thread, I knew it would be well received. The total response, however, has been overwhelming. It's good. I am glad gentlemen are following it.

I am unclear what he thought of the potential for the thread but I have read every post and based virtually every choice since I found it on his suggestions.

Hey Richard (evnpar), if you happen to drop into the thread, could you share your thoughts on Barberry's Hemingway Accoutrements cream and aftershave please?

Not much is out there on the products and not sure if I want to pull the trigger and wind up with duds. Thanks!

Here to admit, I broke down, again....

CRSW sent me an email, it said, "Andrew, we have these two new soaps we need you to buy, we made them just for you, please click here!"

So I did, the two new Glides look good, Colonia Mediterranea and Barbiere Sapone.....ordered and on the way.

Obie, you weren't responsible for that email were you? '-)
