I've been using JabonMan / Eufros soaps for the past couple of weeks (Briesa de Oriente / Tierra Humeda / Mare Nostrum / Dama de Noche) and in my opinion, these can be classified as upper 2nd tier.
Easy latherability, great scent, slickness and post-shave feel.Tony

Glad you liked it. I am always hesitant to say YES just because I like the scent. The lather is top shelf for sure. I go introduced to that soap when it was made the first time and had been stalking them ever since. The after shave is a great compliment if you like to match soap and AS.
Your only as good as your last hone job.

I bought the Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge soap a while back. I said then I wouldn't use it until I rid the cabinet of some of the other soaps that were in disfavor. I donated two assorted packages to worthy individuals, so i'm true to my word.
I used it today, and everything about it is glorious. Definitely deserving of top tier status! Very impressive!!
Thanks to Obie!

Tonight i tried the Castle Forbes Lime Essential Oil Shave Cream..
Oh yes.
This is the stuff.
Thanks Obie for the recommendation. When i saw the words you used to describe this soap as "the crowning achievement in shaving creams" i figured it was something id better try before my time runs out on this earth.
The scent is fantastic. Im a big fan of the citrus aromas so this was right up my alley.
The lather is impressive. I used way too much this first time, and could have shaved my whole body with the lather just a nip of this stuff produced.
I am truly impressed. Obie thanks again!! If we ever meet in real life i owe you lunch.
Lather for days...

MW,
Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, Castle Forbes is a celestial cream, as Martin de Candre is a celestial soap. If I were to have one cream and one soap, well, these two would claim the honors. Matched with my 25mm shavemac Model 167 silvertip, my lather rides a beautiful rainbow.

From all the evidence seen Martin De Candre will have to be next on my list. Thank you again sir. Happy shaving!

To all my fellow wet shavers. I went to our fishing hole today. Cella, LPL, and SV with AS for $50.
Helped a soldier overseas who wasnt using it.
Your only as good as your last hone job.

Thanked: 52After reading Obie's rankings a couple of times, I sent off for samples of MdC and Harris Arlington soaps to try. Very good stuff--easily the best I've used. I must say thanks to Obie for his informative post (as his always are).
