I have used the soap and like it. The cream is mediocre.

That's interesting; I've heard some people say the hard soap is mediocre, but that the cream is fantastic, rivalling Castle Forbes.

I used Cade Cream today. Its fine and smells very good. I agree with Obie and echo the so so performance. My opinion is it cost too much for what it is. An ok cream with a swanky scent. I would just like to add that in no way does it compare to Castle Forbes. Nope C.F. leaves an impression and Cade well I almost forgot I had a tube that's how forgettable it is.

Right you are, Razorfaust, Cade cream is not in the same class as Castle Forbes.

    Ben,
I have yet to find a cream that rivals Castle Forbes. Xpec, Penhaligon's, Esjberg and a few others in the First Tier are superb creams. Castle Forbes is in its own class. Good stuff. I think I have the L'Occitane cream in the Third Tier. Of course, all this is only my opinion.

Castle Forbes in my humble opinion is king right now, I recently paired the lavender with Fine Lavender A/S and had great shave nothing rivals to me to me the Castle, I'm waiting for my new Mastro Livi 7/8 so I can use it for another great or should I say heavenly shave.
I must say though I missed the bus on Esjberg, I must find where to get that cream from.

You should give the Castle Forbes lavender AS balm a try. Maggard's has samples.

    Cheers, Steve

Do you have tips on lathering Castle Forbes? I've used it (I've got samples of the 3 scents), but I don't think I've ever got as good of a shave out of Castle Forbes as I have soaps like DRH.
