Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post - you have to try the Mondial soaps - I have 4 of them, and all are fantastic - easy performers, superb scent, great all around soaps and not to expensive.

For some reason, these soaps haven't seemed to have made it on the radar here?

Obie - you have any experience with them?

    Phrank,
Yes, I actually used Mondial couple years back. They were good, and did everything expected of them, but they somehow did not blow me over. That's why I did not buy more. They are still worth the try, though. Never hurts to experience quality soaps and creams.

Epic shave tonight with XPEC Original, when you use a classic, it reminds you all over again why it's in the Top 10, Top 5 as far as I'm concerned....just a magnificent shaving soap.

Might just stay on my counter for a few more.....

The scent of the original can be polarizing, but it's hard to beat it's performance. One of my favorites!

So you guys have talked me into it. After I save up for a JNat or coticule I'm going to grab a tub of Oleo and Holly Kaw.
CF Lime was my second purchase when I got a straight. Fell in love! Few months ago Tc sent me a hunk of MDC org and Rose...GLORIOUS! I go off two things for soaps. The above mentioned soaps and this thread (well there is the occasional recommendation from friends; Big thank you to Tc)
I've look through the thread and got an idea on some of the scents and have looked at the sights descriptions I'd like to have some more descriptions from you guys on the Oleo and HK scents. I've always like to hear what our forum members think.

One quick question with the WK. Are we talking Tallow or Veg or does it matter?

So Please give me your descriptions!

And Obie; THANKS FOR THE THREAD!!! And a MOST excellent thread it is.

    Thanks and be safe,
    Jer

Here's the cure for the polarizing scent (I don't like the original scented) - unscented XPEC hand scented with Domenico Caraceni 1913 EdT, the most classy rose scent ever IMO. This was my try at replicating the original DC 1913 shaving cream, and it worked well.

    Cheers, Steve

This is another hard-to-get cream that's excellent and the scent is superb, Christian Dior Eau Sauvage shaving cream. The scent is similar to AdP Colonia, but less sweet and has a touch of musk/jasmine or similar.

The shaving cream isn't imported to North America (though the fragrances are abundant) and licensed vendors in the EU won't ship it here, probably because of licensing agreements/restrictions. But if you're in the EU, you can drop into a Sephora or Dior shop and pick up a tube or two. It isn't that expensive there, about $25 US.

    Cheers, Steve

I have been wondering about these. I am interested in the Citrus soap sold by the Kilo. I just don't to want to be stuck with a Kilo of average soap. Seems like some Monidal are more expensive than others. Not sure if this is a premium line. I am looking into the Antica Barberia Mondial line.

This is the citrus one that is amazing, and I've purchased the other 3 from this line, all absolutely fantastic soaps and stellar performers....here is the link:

Andrew, did you go with Mondial's soap or with their cream? Is their bergamot-neroli bitter like PannaCrema's new Nera? Thanks for your help and further facilitating my SAD!
