Glad you're enjoying Castle Forbes! It's a stellar performer and one of my benchmark products to compare others against.

I finally was able to try Baum.be cream this morning, and I have to say that it has lived up to its reputation! A beautiful lather, perfectly balanced, and a wonderful scent. I'll see how I feel after a few more shaves with it, but upon first impressions I'd say it rates up there with Castle Forbes and Martin de Candre - tier 1 for sure!

Now that I have a few shaves behind me with Esbjerg Amber Cardamon, I can attest that it's a fantastic cream. Scent is not bad either.

IMO, its close. But not on the same level as MDC. It is a great cream for sure. And i tried the pre-shave baumbe too. Its a bit greasy but a quality pre-shave.

I also got a jar of the Fougere. I shaved with it this morning and it was my first MdC experience. I now understand what all the shouting is about!

Bet you had way too much lather for what you needed Doug.
I used to think TC was pulling my leg about when he said he would do 3 swirls to load his brush with MDC. I've found that with about 5 or 6 swirls I got enough on my brush for a full shave. Most other soaps take a lot more to have enough for a full shave. The stuff is going to last you (and me) forever my friend! I got the fougere and the original. Its a matter of learning how wet to have your brush.
