    Default B & M Arctique

Well, if you ever want to know what it's like to Mace yourself in the face, check out Barrister and Mann's, Arctique shaving soap.

If you like menthol, and I mean really, really like menthol, this is your soap.

Shaved about an hour ago, sight just returning to my eyes, the involuntary weeping has subsided, and I can breathe again.

    Wow!

Shiver me ferkin' timbers....this one goes to the "Bye-Bye" room forever.

I know the feeling. Menthol and I don't get along. That is when it's that close to my eyes. I got the Lemon Chill from Sterling and had to give it away to someone. Most folks like it.

Yup, nothing like too much of a good thing to ruin it for you.

    Gentlemen,

Back from the hospital. By Jove, it's good to be home.

I tried a mentholated soap — or was it cream? — once a long time ago and had to wash my face and brush by the end of the first pass. OY! If I want cold skin, I'll stick my head in the freezer.

Welcome back Obie and have a quick recovery!

I’m the same way about menthol for the most part. A little like in Atinson’s/I Coloniali or SMN is OK, but I’ll pass on anything with more noticeable menthol.

    Cheers, Steve

Welcome home, Obie. I hope you had a few cute nurses taking care of you.

I can tolerate very light menthol, such as an aftershave with a slight amount of menthol, but have the same reaction as Phrank to soaps with menthol. I also don't care for the scent of menthol.

    Gentlemen,
Thank you for the kind words. It is good to be back. Today's shave was quite painful, even though I sat down for part of the shave, but I needed it to lift my spirit. I had not shaved for five days or so. I will not be able to use the straight for a while, so the safety razor will do the job.

Thanks, Pete. Once healed, the bionic knee will make me float through the air.
I will try my best to make Dave's meetup.

Welcome home Obie. Get to feeling better. Surgery takes a little time to adjust. Get comfortable and rely upon your own skills to get back to your own self. Eat a lot of vegies. You'll be fine in no time. Praying for you bro.
Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.
