Thanked: 31I only have top two. I guess I better get out there again and try more (I experimented with a lot to find these though)
Shaving creams - Trumper's (mixed with a few drops of their Skin Food)
Shaving soaps - Mama Bear's

These days, my five favourites would be (in no particular order, as they are quite close):
- Baume.be
- Calani Seifenmanufaktur
- Meißner Tremonia Dark Limes (I have the soap, but the paste performs identically)
- Castle Forbes Lavender
- Green Mountain Soap Lime & Vetiver
Funny, I don't fancy myself to be too picky about scents (as long as they're not too heavy and don't linger, creams/soaps shouldn't linger in my opinion), but I find all of these delightfully scented. Well, except for the Calani, but the scents are very mild and not bad; they're just really not my thing. Hence I don't even mention the ones I have. Calani is quite overlooked outside of Germany, it seems. A shame, because their shaving soaps are top notch.
The big thing when it comes to shaving products for me is mainly the aftercare they provide, as my skin is prone to drying out. If a product is lacking in that department at all, I won't use it, no matter how glorious it may be otherwise.
These products perform so well for me that I really do not see this list changing a lot in the near future.

While everyone's MMV, I enjoy these threads because they give me ideas (albeit evil ones...) on other products to explore.
Since I transitioned to shaving with straights, I've been re-evaluating my soap and cream preferences, especially when it comes to slickness (i.e., glide). I can get away with a less slick soap or cream with a DE but I'm finding that's not the case when I shave with a straight. Now that I'm feeling very comfortable shaving with a straight and am consistently getting great shaves, I'm returning to many products I have in the den to evaluate how well they perform with a straight. As I plug way, a few items will likely get kicked to the curb if they're not there in slickness with a straight--really only want to keep, and spend my silver, on products that are versatile with both DE and straight shaving (lather quality, fragrance, post-shave feel, cushion, and how easy or a PIA a product is to work with are also my key considerations).
In no particular order, here are my current 5:
Castle Forbes
Martin de Candre
Xpec
Penhaligon's
Santa Maria Novella
I like the slickness of Baum.Be along its other qualities but the jury is still out here with its scent...will give it a while longer since it is such an excellent performer. On the other hand, MWF's lanolin scent is one I don't particularly care for. I recently tried and fairly quickly kicked Saponificio Varesino's Alpine Tundra to the curb--couldn't stand the smell (gave it a few goes and just couldn't get past an aroma I found particularly unpleasant). While I enjoy many of Truefitt and Hill's scents, their Rose also was a scent I couldn't tolerate...it didn't last long in the den either!
Life's too short to shave with products that one doesn't like!

Here you go good sir. It ships from the US, so you have the whole shipping / customs thing, though it looks like he has it in stock.
