Thread: Proraso -- You can keep it.

I like the smell of it in the morning.

Proraso has become a summer essential for me, particularly if I've been out running that morning.

My experience exactly. I find for me the performance of proraso is so so, the smell unpleasant (unless I'm in just the right mood) and the menthol dries me out and can induce razor burn if I'm not carful because I don't feel what I'm doing. So I've never understood why Proraso is so popular, nor why you'd want use menthol in any event before or during a shave since I think it does the opposite of what you want to the hairs.

Having said that, taste is personal and I'm in the minority on this.

I do not like the smell either. In fact I have stopped using it entirely and haven't noticed any difference in my shaves.
