Could it be that it smells like tobacco plant and not smoking tobacco?

    Default I gotta ask . . . Tabac

    Gentlemen,

I not only love the fragrance of Tabac shaving soap, I also love the lush lather is spreads across my Hollywood face and the smooth shave it provides me.

Tabac is not the only quality soap I use. Others join it in my rotation.

Preference for a certain fragrance, or the dislike of it, of course, is personal. That obviously is the case with Tabac. Some like the fragrance and some don't.

On the question of the soap's shave quality, however, many gentlemen shavers are of the same thought: that this is a quality shaving product.

Yet, if I thought the smell repulsive, I would not use Tabac. It's not as if we have a shortage of quality shave soaps and creams.

    Regards,

    Obie

Tabac is one of my favorites also. The scent is fine, the lather perfect, and the skin care remarkable. If you guys don't like the scent, pick up an Irisch Moos stick. Same great quality with a different scent.

I love the smell of both Tabac and Old Spice. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It is as easy as that.

I've heard so many great things about this soap, but haven't tried it yet. For someone like myself, with the olfactory capabilities of a chunk of lead, the shave performance outweighs the scent (after all, what's EdT for?!). As such, I've ordered some of the soap and cream, and when it finally makes its way to the Antipodes I'll try it out and offer up my humble inexpert opinion.

Why does this stuff have such a nasty smell? Alt Innsbruck is the same way. When people say that this stuff has a tobacco smell, I am thinking great a Virginia Burley smell not some nasty stanky flowers.

    Can someone explain this?
If I were you I would avoid use of Tabac and all other products that do not please you, including KFC sandwiches.

When I first started using it I was a bit, meh about the scent, smelt like my Grandad etc. The results were so good that I carried on with it. Now I look forward to using it, scent and all.
