Thank you, I was brought over here by Doughboy68, Im a member over at b&b, I started with a de, but have since started to dabble in straight razors. And have been visiting this forum to read about restoration tips. i currently have 10 straights they are all hollow grinds. Out of the 10, 5 of them are shave ready, the others im restoring. My favorite shavers so far have been the Imperials. I will post some of my stuff in the restoration section. i recently completed my first 2 restores.

Welcome Nerdman! I guess it's a little too late to warn you of SRAD I'm sure you're going to find a number of extremely talented members here happy to share their tips and tricks in restoration. There is certainly no shortage of great folks here, similar to where you've wandered over from. Oh and you're most definitely right. The bomb is really top notch. I am really kind of bummed in a way. I really wanted to be a soap guy. Unfortunately, Al completely ruined that idea for me

Thanked: 4942Awesome!
This is the first time I have ever seen someone joint a forum for a soap......... Bootiful ting and welcome.
I have tried a couple iterations of the Bomb and think it is a very nice soap and definitely is a suds maker. I had talked to Al about the hardness of it and I think he has softened it up a little. I believe he is also using a larger or wider container now as the old one was really hard to get the brush in to load up.
I don't know what it is with this soap, but it feels a little greasy to me yet and although I don't like it as much as Castle Forbes or Caraceni and it will definitely not replace either, it is a good suds maker.
Have fun,
Lynn

comments on da bomb
1. I find this cream excellent in regards to volume of the lather, and the cushion.
2. I got the cedar, and I find the scent so faint that i can't smell it. I believe this may be my problem since I need a very powerful scent to to appreciate it. I can smell cf lime and tobs rose. I was advise before I purchased it, that it was mild in smell.
3. I don't know if I have a small container opening or not, but I find it to be smaller than I like, to load a brush, and have to use a butter knife to apply a small amount to my face, it works good, but not what I like.
4. I would recommend this cream to anyone who want to have a cream that provides a great shave.
5. If you like a bold strong scent in your cream, I would pick a different scent that the cedar.
6. Enjoy

Thanked: 2209Well, I just saw this thread so I will add my $.02. I have 2 of the Bomb's and I am very, very pleased. Since I have the Bomb I gave away my T&H to a new guy! They lather up easily and provide a good amount of "glide" which I require. The scent is not overpowering, which is a plus, and it takes very little to generate a large amount of "suds". It is a bit stiff but that is very minor. I also would like a jar with a wider mouth.I will be writing a review of them in the near future.

Thanks for the welcome! and yes, its a little too late for the SRAD warning! lol.
Yes, the restoration section here is awesome! so much talent its crazy!!
The Bomb is good, i am more of a cream guy, but the harder consitency of the bomb is good. I really found it so easy to lather. it has given me probably the closest, irritation free shaves i have had. Again, thanks for the welcome!
Thank you, its all about having fun and trying new stuff. It is a very good sud maker for sure. i have only used a sample of castle forbes, but to me, i felt this cream performed better. Now, granted, i am more experienced with lathering now, so if i go back to try the castle forbes i may be able to get a better lather out of it. But for now, the Bomb worked awesome for me. by the way, ill be in contact soon sir, i have a few blades that need honeing!
