MDC is at the pinnacle of soaps. I have no experience with the other soap mentioned but I would be astounded if it was the equal of MDC in all respects.

I have some Catie's Bubbles, very nice soap, absolutely.

In the same league as MDC? Not in my opinion, while it's a fine product, it's B-Team when compared to XPEC, Castle Forbes, ADP, Tabac, T&H, and MWF, I might even throw in DR Harris soaps as nicer as well...just my opinion, as always, YMMV.

This is a ymmv thing. I was enamored with MDC when I first got it. But I've since changed my mind. It's a good soap but I prefer Xpec, Barrister and Mann, and Penhaligons over it. I don't find it as lick or as protective as the others. It lathers like no other but overall I prefer the others.

I do have experience with CB and MDC. MDC is better soap IMHO.

If one would go with more economical soaps, I would say Barrister and Mann or Dr Jon's are better options.

It's a very good shaving soap and comes tightly packed in a glass jar. You can get a years worth of shaving from just one jar.

Well, one man's pinnacle could very well be another man's abyss. Just fancy for YMMV thing.

I just Cowboyed up and purchased. Euro is down right now. So coming from France it converts to $57.USD out the door, to my door.

I was hesitant at first to pay that much for a soap I haven't tried yet, but then I found a US based site that sold the small jars for a price I was willing to pay and after getting it I wish I would have just got the big jar. I still have the small jar, but its getting low and I will get it again. The fact that a tiny and I mean A TINY amount goes a long way and the performance of the soap is why I will be getting it again. I just wish I remembered where I got it from originally so I wouldn't have to pay the shipping, but it is a great soap and worth it IMHO.
