I friend in New Iberia, LA got some and fell in love with it. So, he calls me, "Wayne, you've GOTTA come try this soap!" OK, so I drive 70 miles to try a soap... WOW!!!! I love this stuff! The best part, his son is going to France in July with the promise to bring me back some of this manah of the shaving gods. Dang you, Obie!
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

Thanked: 3795I already have over 10 pucks of soap. I used to be serially monogamous with my soap, but SRP has made me a soap slut, constantly jumping from one to the next. Given my age, I already have more soap than I will need for the rest of my life, and my parsimonious nature prohibits me from spending half of what this stuff costs.
I'm beginning to have a better understanding of that "I hate Obie" thread!

+1,000,000 Soap Slut? I like that, and I guess I am too, and that would make Obie a pimp...Ha....
I'm telling you though, Once you've tried MDC, it's hard not to use it. I physically have to steer myself away from the tub, and use some of the other countless soaps and creams I've accumulated. We have assumed control !

Thanked: 3795At the MidMO meet-up I tried Caraceni shave cream for the first time. Lynn was foolish enough to leave it out in his shave den so I tried it and a Thater brush for the first time. I was amazed at what the stuff did on my face! I was relieved and disappointed that the stuff is no longer available. I imagine that the MDC is of equally high caliber.
A high quality shave soap is a major contributor to the quality of a shave and those of us who are too cheap to take advantage of such quality really are missing out on a major factor in the enjoyment of shaving.

Yes, the DC is still available from a few suppliers in Italy.
Sadly, no shipping outside of EU/Europe though.Last edited by Birnando; 06-26-2011 at 10:14 PM. Reason: clarification

Anyone ordering from MdC, make sure you buy some of his regular soaps as well, amazing stuff!
He sent a sample of his Nettle and Capucin shampoo and it's fantastic, I have been a slave of Head and Shoulders for years , usually with any other shampoo my head is getting itchy and flaky after a couple days, not so at all with the MdC stuff after three uses. I got a small 30ml bottle, which will probably last me a couple more weeks, very little product is needed. I got a sample of the fern hand soap too, very very nice.
