Why not? Might be pretty good. Somebody thought to put chili on a hot dog.

After gssixgun's post all others are clearly redundant, but I do like Body Shop Maca Root and Crab Tree and Evelyn Nomad, or the Nomad and Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar...

Here's a couple I like, got a few off Glen:

Tabac soap + Tabac Cream + 5 drops of glycerin
Musgo real + MWF + 5 drops of glycerin = Lanolin overload
EJ Sandalwood cream + SRD Sandalwood + 3-5 drops of glycerin
Queen Charlotte Basilica + SRD Frankincense + 3-5 drops of glycerin

For the lime, try SRD's lime + your lime shave cream SRD's soap's are wonderful on their own. To me, it's like putting high test in your car, You don't need it, but it improves performance....

None of these soaps or creams need help. I do this just for the fun of it. As previously mentioned, who doesn't like lot's of rich creamy lather? + I have a water softner.
You don't need much of either, but when combined, the end result is worth it.

You can take any soap, add 1 pump of "Kiss my face" shave cream, + 5 drops of glycerin and make uberlather....

I would add that for doing the Uberlather thing, I use the QC Key Lime creamand GFT's Sandalwood soap (plus a couple of drops of glycerine and aloe). Those two scents combined are a Sunday Special for me.

Thank you all for your recommendations and turning me on to some new soap and cream makers. I've place a couple of orders, enough to complete a full complement of soap/cream/aftershave for six base scents:

Rose - Classic Shaving soap, CR Salter Wild Rose cream, Thayers Rose WH
Lavender - DR Harris soap, CF cream, CF AS
Almond - DR Harris soap, DR Harris cream, Col Conk AS
Bay Rum -Ogallala soap, Queen Charlotte cream (called Cayman), Sensuous Beauty AS/Cologne
Lime - Queen Charlotte soap, CF cream, CF AS
Sandalwood - Muhle soap, CF cream, Penhalligon's 1870 AS

I plan on placing an order with QED as well to experiment with some other options. Lots of others to try too but I've got a good start for now I think.

Question: Several of you recommended SDR soaps. Who sells them?

One I really like is Tabac soap + The Body Shop cream for super/uberlather

Another (very cheap and old fashioned) uberlather is De Vergulde Hand soap with Palmolive cream.

How would you describe Tabac's scent?

There is only one way to describe it: like Tabac...

That sounds really stupid, but there is no soap that is comparible

These aren't necessarily the same scent, but they compliment nicely IMHO.

L'Occitane Cade cream, AOS Sandalwood soap, 5 drops glycerin
AOS Sandalwood cream, TGQ Cavendish Black, 5 drops glycerin
JM Fraser Mosswood cream, Mama Bears Northern woods soap, 5 drops glycerin

Also, when I want the performance of an uberlather with the scent of an amazing soap, I will use Saint Charles Shave's Unscented cream, <Soap of Choice>, & 5 drops of glycerin.
