I have extremely sensitive skin too, but it didn't bother me once. In fact it gives me an irritation-free shave like no other.

My skin isn't so sensitive, but I am very prone to irritation due to bizarre hair growth patterns. That said, I LOVE MdC. It's my number one, but just barely. Lathering properties aside (admittedly second to none), the smell is what I love about it. It's un-freaking-real. That soap alone is one of the reasons I look forward to shaving.

I totally understand what you mean by bizarre hair growth. That's the case with me too, but with MdC is just doesn't seem to matter.

I have the wooden bowl and the scent is actually quite subdued with this. Before I owned the glass jar (scented) and the scent although was strong, I agree it it very natural smelling.

Anyway, I recently got the wooden bowl version and I am very happy with it. It's the same stuff as the glass bowl, but being in a wooden container weighs less overall. Also, the scent isn't overpowering as there is no lid. In fact it smells slightly sweeter.

Best shaving soap in the world bar none. You won't be disappointed.
