Good choice, you never get a good workout if you don't feel good anyway, the body needs to recover. ;)

Today's my off day from lifting, but I'll get a good walk in as I'll be walking the streets handing out candy canes & collecting goods for the food bank with the FD. Should burn a few calories, better than sitting around. ;)
Today is my day off. Yesterday, I rode out to Howard Park. Before my accident this was the standard out the door Sunday ride. It's a bit of a side trip off the Pinellas Trail but for the most part they are secondary roads through residential areas so it was OK, not much traffic. Aside from a pleasant 24 mile ride, it was a bit of a blustery day so me and about 10 other people had the beach to ourselves. It's a great place to go on a Sunday morning to sort things out with the Almighty.

Probably only a couple hundred yards total beach out here but I think next Sunday I'll ride the fatty out there just for giggles.
Went for an 8km run at midnight to celebrate the solstice, slept 1.5 hrs and then did the ole monday morning circuit training. You may note the lack of detail from that workout, due to the lack of sleep. So happy to be off for the rest of the year after today.
I haven't joined the road crew on the Tuesday ride for a couple of years, as I get back late & the traffic becomes a nightmare to get my son to school on time.
BUT, as he's now completed his schooling and the roads are relatively quiet, I decided to join them this morning.
So, 50km's in the bag before work.
A 7.5km run before work this morning.
I've smashed every muscle group into the "sore for two days - let's go hard" area except my biceps and forearms. It's time to destroy them so I can power through and get back on the train.
Maybe take a week and recover, if its as bad as it sounds
I'm thinking of signing up for the Rapha Festive 500 on Strava.
Aim is to ride 500km's between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve (8 days).
I did it 2 years ago when I had a 120km race lined up in January 2014 but this year, nothing planned. I suppose if I do, that's one way of regaining my fitness level.
This is the first time I've done the full number of reps and sets since I started back. I was happy to make it through since I did some hiking through some rough terrain on Monday and Tuesday.
