Another 24k ride this morning which was cut short due to multiple punctures by a mate. I cycled home and picked my car to give him a lift home.
Afterwards, I converted my 1x9 to a 1x10 by removing the cassette and rear derailleur from my trail bike which has been gathering dust for a while. I then purchased a NW 36 tooth chainring, so now have a 1x10 with the gearing being 36x11/42 which should be perfect for most occasions when I need a geared bike for off-road use.

Saturday was a 21 mile bike ride and yesterday was a seven mile hike @ 7000 foot elevation. Today is a rest day. Enjoy your 4th.
I've still been on the treadmill but boy do the outside of my knees hurt! (where your hands rest on the side of your body.)
I have been wearing neoprene knee braces...and it helps but after about 25 minutes it starts to hurt badly enough I have to stop.
Am I doing something wrong... Or just have bad knees?
I don't want to slow down and I run on Zero incline.
I have good running shoes and I stretch before starting.
My hamstrings feel tight and my lower back is sore the following day.
Maybe I need to see a chiropractor to get lined up?
Thanks for any advice.... I don't want to stop but I don't want to cause any knee damage to myself.
Never thought of that.
Who would think you would have to concentrate on the way you run...
My friend just told me I could go to Runner Roost and they will video tape you running and give you the correct inner supports (and shoes I HOPE) that you need.
Only thing is it is about $200!
YIKES! :dropjaw:
