And I really want to go play with my skateboard too. That was good exercise the other day, I have to say, just not long enough to count for much on a bad diet of rich Christmas type food. Now if you're going to smoke, buy a pipe. Corn cobs are cheap enough.

Workout today was mostly walking, but with the intention to do a bit of practice on the board. Got both in and had a lot of fun. Even got a bit of running in on the times when I came off. Beats landing on my silly bloody head. A good workout that got the heart rate up and the breathing increased. Legs were about ready to give out by the time I got home again. Ankle strength needs improving. More balance exercises planned to work on that, and squats to increase thigh strength/endurance.

Today's workout was at the gym:

. Bench Presses supersetted with wide grip Lat Pulldowns
. Inc DB Presses supersetted with CG Lat Pulldowns
. CG Smith Machine Bench presses supersetted with Leg presses and Wide Grip Chinups
. Cable Crunches suppersetted with Cable triceps extensions and CG Chinups

Followed by trimming the hedge, a relaxing bedroom shaving stand shave and German Pilsner.

The workout was fueled by hand ground coffee in the mocca pot and five strawberries. Post workout snack was a tin of sardines.

For all you making New Year's resolutions to get fit; like the Nike ad says. Just do it.

I intend to lose the rest of my fat, keep up the bouldering, reduce the German Pilsner consumption and stop the occasional smoking relapses...

I'd seriously recommend dumping the carbs, Ed. If you cut out all grains (bread, pasta, rice) and legumes and eat meat, fish, vegetables, dairy, some nuts and seeds you'll lose fat. Eat animal fats though, you'll use fats for energy. My problem is the beer...

Cheers Carl, I also want to cut out a lot of the sugar too, which mainly comes with the 5+ coffees per day! that will also reduce the amount of milk I drink which will be good as I am sure I am slightly intolerant.
January is going to be rubbish.

I have to admit I was thrown by that line. I had to read it twice. Then thrice, all the way to the end on that count. I thought you were letting us in on some other little quirk of yours. I was thinking I hope you used a DE rather than a CT, just to play it safe...

No workout today. The weather has been crap all day. I've been going stir crazy...Still am. Too much energy to burn off and no outlet for it.

Another thing about coffee Ed, coffee increases the acidity of the skin and your body combats this by adding extra fat cells under the skin to balance out the ph levels. More than two coffees a day and your body starts adding fat. I've got my coffee's down to two to three a day, two white, one black (if there's a third) and none with any sweetener. Tea is had black and unsweetened the rest of the time.

Yes I like my tea black and unsweetened, and not too strong. I quite like an earl grey. Oh, hang on this is the exercise thread, not the tea thread, I will get myself in trouble again.

45 Minutes on Bike , endurance pace (pulse around 120-130) 15 Minutes Interval (Pulse 130-150), Weight machines or all types, about 30 minutes and free weights for bench press flat and incline. No heavy weights, 15 reps in sets.
I'll keep this going until I can get outside again and cycle.

I drink my coffee with half/half which has less sugar than milk and no sweetener. After morning, I drink decaf.
