I suspect that the draw could be lightened by using some sort of wax (vs. oil), but that everyone would have to experiment for themselves.

    Keep us posted Tony.
    I agree.

For me, it would just be an interesting addition. Besides, what other kind of strop would you want to use on your customized CPM154CM straight razor with carbon fiber scales?

Synthetic leather, upon which a coating is applied to make it resistant to scuffs and scratches (my ass), and provides an everlasting mirror shine. Never really worked that well, but it beat having to polish the shoes every time an inspection came around. Right up until the commander said that even though they were authorized for wear, he ever wanted to see a pair of those in HIS formations.

    Now Now Guys,

I'm a full-fledged vegan and have been a vegan for 23 years. Does that work for y'all. Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I'm about to purchase a couple of Tony's remaining vegan strops, which is the only kind of strop I would buy unless I was going to make my own.

I've been vegan for two or three years and I'm planning on buying one of these strops as well as a synthetic brush and vegetable glycerin soap.
