Synthetic leather, upon which a coating is applied to make it resistant to scuffs and scratches (my ass), and provides an everlasting mirror shine. Never really worked that well, but it beat having to polish the shoes every time an inspection came around. Right up until the commander said that even though they were authorized for wear, he ever wanted to see a pair of those in HIS formations.

Thanked: 0Now Now Guys,
I'm a full-fledged vegan and have been a vegan for 23 years. Does that work for y'all. Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I'm about to purchase a couple of Tony's remaining vegan strops, which is the only kind of strop I would buy unless I was going to make my own.

Thanked: 0I've been vegan for two or three years and I'm planning on buying one of these strops as well as a synthetic brush and vegetable glycerin soap.
