Stropped with my BisonMade English Bridle strop and I love it. It's a much different feel then my SRD red letigo and I actually cometo prefer the lighter draw and higher quality. I was also surprised at how much lighter it was. It is like half the weight and I didn't feel like I was going to nick my strop if I wasn't super careful like I am with my SRD red letigo. Oh, and I ordered this on Monday and paid only half price + shipping and it got here this afternoon!

The leather is actually from Hermann Oak Leather Tannery in St Louis and not Horween.

Yes, I believe the Latigo and bridle are from there. The Horse and Cordovan are from Horween

Don't really need a new strop but 50% off...I'm tempted. I already have an oil tanned coming from Scrupleworks.

At 50% off, I had to go in for a horse hide strop.

Good choice, I think you'll love it. The draw and the way it feels while stropping is superb.

When you say a strop is fast and slick with light/no draw, does it still make sound when you strop on it? I have an english bridle that I'm not crazy about, I guess the draw is medium, doesn't make much noise when you strop which I don't like.

Also how would you say veggy tanned compares to something like a Kanayama? I think it is cowhide, but supposed to have very little draw as well.

It's stiffer and very light draw, very different then letigo which has alot of draw. I find the English Bridle easier to strop on and not worry about nicks.

Got mine today. I haven't had much time to check it out but it's slicker than whale sh!t. No draw at all. I'm not a fan of draw so this suits me. After some better evaluation I'll comment further.

What a beauty! Same as mine and I love it! I did increase the draw on mine with some palm rubbing. Not by a huge margine just a bit and it feels wonderful now. The linen or canvas side is pretty hard, but I fined it softens up a bit with use. Enjoy!
