Actually there's an easier way for things to happen on your timetable - you cover the salary of a full time moderator and it will all be faster. I figure something around a median US salary plus benefits would allow for a good one.
Let me know when you have the check ready and I'll start convincing Lynn about opening the position.

gugi, what are you talking about. I never made any references to timetables or in what manner I would like to see things done. It's really none of my business!

I think it would be wise that I no longer post in this thread. I would hate to see it closed also.

What I'm referring is that when the thread was temporarily removed this was dully noted (the temporary nature of the action that is).

You seem to be saying that you noticed the absence of the thread but ignored or discarded the explanation for it. To the point of implying that we have some hidden agenda....

    I like the word.

    A mugger is a criminal

The person sitting in shadows in his armback chair, coldly plotting for world domination is nefarious. Sure, he is an even bigger criminal than the mugger, but at least he does it in style and with skill
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
To spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the Last Day

There are a lot of good points in this thread.

One thing is that when you do something with one stone, is that the ultimate stone? What are the variations of that one stone and will it perform the same every time? Can everyone have that exact same stone? How do you compare that to other media for a new guy or do we just give the information on that stone as gospel and argue or beat down anynone elses reservations or findings using that stone. You certainly can get a good result with this Stone but what if you can get similar results or better results with other stones. Does that mean you can't say that then? NEW PEOPLE MUST HAVE A COTICLE AND NO OTHER STONE IS GOOD OR NECESSARY. No need for personal preference. As some one said, if you can take a plane to one location, why ride a Donkey? Ground the plane. How do all these things figure into the thought process here. OK, so now I shouldn't be able to say that I have been able to duplicate this process with a Thurningen, Escher or Nakayama or tried it with a Chinese 12K and Arkansas and all are actually doable, but consistency is not the best out there and although I may get one razor or two to go through pretty quickly others are taking forever.

I may have to rename the forum the Straight Razor Coticule.

    Have fun,

    Lynn
