In support of this thread http://straightrazorpalace.com/basic...le-honing.html
I'm submitting this video.
I only have a small digital photo camera that allows me to make 30sec. clips at a low resolution. So please excuse the poor quality.

This was fantastic, thankyou. Tought me alot about how to use my coticule.
I find it odd to add tape after setting the bevel, but more than one way to skin a cat
Cheers

Bart,
I'm stunned by your video. I am completely blown away. A great job! Very effective. I just can't say enough, but right now I can't say anything.
I will probably watch this many more times. BTW, good strokes.

While it's not HD-quality, seeing the slurry in your video was helpful to me. I think on my first atempt with this honing method, I was using a slurry that was too thick for stage 1. I'll see if thinning it down also helps me in my next attempt.

"Fleurette Africaine"... SUBLIME! Un des mes morceaux de jazz préférés - du "Money Jungle" (Blue Note) avec les trois monstres sacrés du jazz, Duke Ellington + Charles Mingus + Max Roach.
Et ton honing... à la fois simple et élégant! Very

Bart is that coticule lapped from end to end?
Thanks for the video! I'm been trying to summon the courage to put tape on a razor and try this method, but so far (either because I'm too lazy to look for my tape or I'm just too lazy to hone another razor) I have not yet done so. But I will! I must! The temptation is too great to ignore forever
Here's for experimentation!
And here's for results!
