Started work on the razor in this thread http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...ml#post1771874 . Very never racking to drill out the pins not having done so on ivory scales. Turned out not too badly but I did manage to crack the one scale that wasn't cracked. Bright side is I now get twice the practice repairing cracked/broken ivory scales. Yea, just what I wanted.
The razor did come with hinge pin washers and the ivory tang cover appears to be held in place by a brass pin at the pivot hole on the tang. After my experience unpinning the scales I don't think I'll attempt to unpin the tang cover. Discretion being the better part of valour. Think I am ready for a nap now to recover from the stress of unpinning the scales.
