A playful pair of English bulldogs watching over this Wade and Butcher.
Another goodwill tray used for the scales, this is a translucent root beer color with black streaks.
They took a beautiful polish.

I appreciate your creative material sourcing. The colour of them looks like honey horn with black streaks. Nice job.
Very nice color on those. Congrds on finding material that works well for ya.
Very cool! So what do these trays look like as you procure them??
Nice material to work with. Was at GW yesterday looking for another material to re-purpose.
Some must look like this one I bought a few years ago, and probably they have had other sizes.

PS Me, Still trying to recover from mistakes the first day in the shop !!
Little basic clean-up on the latest Imperial. Has a bit of pitting and devil spit so with it being a full hollow I didn't want to get carried away.

The big one still has the price tag, 1.99, pricy but you can get more than a few scales from the 12 x 18 size. I have 3 plus of those. The little one, I found at another thrift store years ago, I think it was 6 or 8 trays for 2 dollars.
Thanks for showing your scales. Made a few of them from those trays myself.
That was what I paid for the little ones, individually $1.50. I was not lucky enough to find any big ones.
I found a lot of goodies at Goodwill and other thrift stores over the years. I still go to a couple on my weekly rounds.
Enjoy!
