What are you working on?

@ejmolitor37. I cannot tell from your picture what kind of wood that is. Belt sander at great tools. I also have a drum sander that is very helpful. I would like to make a horizontal wet drum sander, unfortunately I don’t have metal working tools. All in good time I suppose.

@Thaeris I think that work out quite nicely. Sort of a matched pair in opposition.

Shaun, these are streaked horn. I was working on a Boker for another gent on FB, broke the originals at the pivot and offered to repair originals or replace. He chose replace and wanted streaked horn.

Thareis those a beautiful blades and scales Sir.

Man a drum sander would be awesome as well. I can find the drum sander attachment for my Dremel and I'm a bit bummed. Could have been handy, belt sander and single edge utility blade as a scraper. Worked like a charm :)

I use my drum sander to flatten and even blanks. My drum sander is similar in operation to a planer. It has a 16” wide drum. It is pretty sweet to have.

Here's an idea for a simple thickness sander if you have a drill press. No shop now so I won't build one.

When you have to work on that Harley the worm drive ones are easily reused though..................
