Hi guys , been working on a Joseph Rodgers razor today, a tad over 7/8"
scales were unfortunately too far gone
a true wedge , hoped it wld be a pre 1891...
after dismantling 'England' showed up, so post 1891
the seller ( I bought a canvas khaki pouch containing 4 items) , told me they were all WW1 items he found in the "Diksmuide/Passendale' area , most likely
owned by a British officer ?Attachment 292130Attachment 292131[ATTACH=CONFIG]292132Attachment 292138Attachment 292139
cleaned the metal - no hone wear - progression 320 / 500 / 600 / 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 3000 / 6000
will throw it on the hones tomorrow
here's the pics
cheers Bart
Those scales can probably be saved, IMO

If anyone could save them, Outback could. I think he may pass an an opportunity such as this however (I could be wrong)
I am thinking they would be more epoxy than horn! ;)
Send it some time, Tom. I'll give it a go for crap n laughs
Looks like filler material to me. Something to keep to grind up for filler. Not fix. But Mike does crazy stuff.
