Yeah, seems like someone posted a formula/system of sorts for calculating wedge dimensions. I believe it was a message from Glen another member reposted. Not sure where that was though.

The way I find the correct angle is a ratio.
I take two thickness measurements on the tang no further apart than the length of the wedge.
Then I decide where I want the blade to sit down into the scales (wedge end) and take that measurement.
Multiply the desired wedge thickness by the tang ratio equation and that will give you the second measurement of the wedge creating the same angle that the tang has.
Then it just takes some tedious sanding and measuring to get it close to perfect.
But I'm sure there are other ways.
Also many razors do just fine and one might not be able to see the difference anyway..
I am spoiled and lazy....
I rely upon the WedgeOmat. It spits out a variety.
One is bound to fit?

Mike T, i know what your saying as far as measuring the tang and such. I try to start somewhere in that direction, but i end up off after a while. One of my issues is using the disc sander. If i was to do it by hand id get closer on the first try enstead of third. Ha.
Tom, im still waiting for the batch of wedges from your machine. I think 100 should do me. :)
BTW, I think it was Glen that put directions on how to make wedges in our Library, if anyone want to check that out.
I reckon that was part of one of Tom's bridges he had for sale on eBay.
HEY!
That was a nice bridge! :D
