I would so drop a razor doing what outback did.
Razor balanced on finger....Take a picture! :rofl2:

Indeed, it has been on a wheel. I dig the old regrinds, if done correctly.
Was wondering if Brownell or Brittain made razors independently.
Who knows?
At least I know a timeframe and from where it was sold!
A little clean up in the hoarders corner. Theses ones are ready to hone. I think all four came from my second last exchange box from Texas.

OH! Indeed a few look familiar, esp the 2 on the right!
That was a long while back, eh?
They are sitting pretty!
I seem to be doing same. Working on the pile instead of buying more! ;)
Back to my Abr Knyn, Got the blade cleaned-up.
Must get it going!
Since I have my custom-carved bone scales filled, it needs a honing partner.
I have snagged the old replacement aluminum scales for years. I have a few left.
They were made to accommodate any blade, so I have seen many with blades too small for their size.
Good thing is they will take big and esp long blades and will shine-up like a new dollar. Good example is outback's Wostenaluminumholm back in post 13003.
Looking like the top set will work nicely on the Knyn blade.
Tomorrows project!

The two on the right are pretty sweet. Henckels 81 Emperor in fancy scale and a Robeson Sure Edge, also in fancy scales. The other two are a Bengall and a Dirigo. I know nothing about the Dirigo, it is also marked 1858 but that is all it has for marks. That package did come a while ago, maybe last fall? No shortage of projects around here. I’m on the razors because the power switch on my planer died, so until the new one shows up the wife’s interior door project is on hold.
Well, by all means let's not tell her you could put the wires together with a wire-nut and just plug the thing in!
Razors need to be done! :rofl2:
I like the way your lovely bride thinks. :tu
