I think I remember he uses Ballistol, but I await his answer.

I use TufGlide right before the 1st hone. I have never reapplied and have not had one rust for over a decade.
We were all handling them at the meet, so a wipedown and stropping.
A few of the scales needed a bit of polishing, mineral oil, and/or Renwax anyway.
Hey Tom, do mind taking some close ups of the razor in the last case on the bottom right for me? I like that blade style a lot.
Attachment 303800 A tapered blade. Popular within a small window, I think?
Me likey, thank you, sir.
I’m surprised they weren’t more popular, the blade shape is odd but they shave well.
Could use some feedback on this one. I made a set of scales for this blade. Low-cost horn. Has some blemishes but its black horn. The blade is stamped Medaille Rover CE. The tang angles down so I thought straight scales would work well but now that I've mocked it up, I see that the tail sticks out lower than I thought it should have.
So does anyone see an issue here? I don't have any razors shaped like this so I was working blind on this one. Should I make different scales or stick with these?

Beautiful Tom. Never shaved with a tapered blade, but they certainly seem to have a very organic look to them. Must work well for detail work. Another on the wishlist!
