Hey guys, I haven't had much time to do anything lately. My best friend isn't doing too well & I'm the only person he can trust. He's diabetic & I keep telling him he needs to change his diet. He has still been eating some things & cut back but not enough. I will have to go over there in a little while as long as he is okay for now. I have been reading up on it & people with high glucose levels are very prone to having a stroke & they don't act like they normally do. He has gotten angry at me for no reason lately, calling me names & that's not the real him. It isn't a good thing at all plus I have my own health issues & my mother with Alzheimers. Enough of this though. That's life.
Everyone, congrats on all the great work I have seen. Tom, I think I posted it awhile back but I have that same smiling Ran-Tan-Ka-Rus that I was planning on unpinning, clean, sand, polish & replace the cracked scales. It is too nice looking of a razor not to.

Tom, Machine Gun Mike, Phil, B52, xiaotuzi all great work.
Phil, that came out beautiful & the scales are really nice.
Andrew, great to try new things out.
I have honed a few razors & I did build a razor with a Torrey blade & some scales used by a few US makers.......

Looking good, Steve. Indeed, life has some great challenges these days.

Oh yeah, I may have mentioned that my battery in my Harley took a dump. I knew it was coming but I have a Batter Tender hooked to it 24/7 365 days a year except when on the road. I did fix that also. I had to drill a hole in my frame for now & I have a lot of hardware from when I worked on them for a living. I found a butonhead tore head screw for it since it is directly under the seat & where I sit. It worked out really good for now. I was hoping my ground cable was long enough to fit to the back side of that part of the frame. The original ground stud was in a spot that if I tried to drill a new hole. I would have damaged the main wiring harness which runs up the backbone of the frame. The paint is thick so I had to scrape quite a bit with a sharp screwdriver to clean the new location for my ground cable & two other ground wires coming from the wiring harness.
Before showing broken ground stud

New ground location (for now)

I don't know why it is doing this, maybe reboot. The pics are sideways & it never has done that before.
NOTE: I don't know what is going on. This isn't even from my iPhone. The pics are from left to right. (with the fuel tank being to the left & rear wheel to right. I have rebooted & it won't fix.
Love the scales on the Torrey.
[QUOTE=engine46;1658021]...snip... high glucose levels are very prone to having a stroke & they don't act like they normally do. I lived for 14 years with a brittle diabetic. What we found was...when the blood sugar drops below a certain level, the body goes into "fight or flight" panic reaction. Usually anger is the mode but fight also happens. That means a great amount of adrenaline which burns body mass to give enough sugar/glucose to survive. And, almost no amount of talk or help will get them through the period till they are totally worn out. Just set a glass of juice or similar sweet drink by them and get out of the picture till they stabilize.
Good luck!

So Geezer is a proper name for ya then!
[QUOTE=Geezer;1658095]Thank you Richard. I just spoke to him & he is acting normal now. I understand when people are ill & say things they really don't mean. I'm on my way to his place now. I'll do whatever I can for him. He's got a heart of gold. Sorry everyone for going off topic a little.
