That's really nice! The razor that is, the other pic eww. Best part about that blade is that these H Diamond are incredible shavers, somewhat unusual to see a Japanese razor with covered tang.

I'm trying to make this $7 hunk of junk shave ready. if nothing else I can try to learn to hone on it, if I completely destroy it, no biggie.

I'll bet a dollar to a dog turd that it's a Paki or C. H. Ina made razor like object. I bought a similar one for my 5 year old grandson/well at least the scales look identical/the blade was slightly different. Originally Posted by Martin103

A bit more sanding to do to pull the surplus gold out of the surrounding wood grain, but not too bad. The details in the sunburst were really close on the original image so I wasn't sure how the wood would hold up to that much focused laser energy in a small area.
Pretty pleased with the depth of detail around the symbol and script.
