She just might pass for NOS, after the hones, Mike.
In actuality....this will be its first, true honing , if I remember right.

My new 1k green hone arrived to-day! Happy to see they are making it in a normal size now instead of the 2 inch 'brick' from the past. I was worried I may need to raise my chair somehow! :)
Attempting to rejuvenate my little business for now, so no time for honing just yet. Cannot wait to try it out, however.
Hope there is some time for quiet honing next weekend! :D
Keep up the fine work, Gents!
This one floated in from the 'Bay tonight.

The Wosty needs cleaned up, and bug bitten horn scales, repaired .
Yeah Machine gun, I also have one I would like to save the scales on. It's an old Mappins Shilling, before they were Mappin & Webb according to my Tweedale's Sheffield Directory.

Hell, yeah, outback! You done me proud! :tu
I knew it would Tom.
When that paint went on....it came to life. To look at it, you'd swear ot was brand new.
Now I did have to hammer out the wrinkles, that were in it. If you recall....the front was a bit bent up on the bottom, like it got dropped.

Yup, I love the way mine chews hard soaps, and I love the scritch it gives on the face. I'll never be without one.
The Clauss has been sanded. Its gonna be hard giving this one back to the guy as trade for the other razors, but i made a deal. I was just gonna clean it a little and hone it up, but i decided to take it up a notch.
Cutting out Black Walnut for scales tomorrow evening after work. No liners or anything fancy, just wood and stain. Gonna see if i can knock one out in two days but i'm betting three.
Its a nice lookin' piece of steel IMO.

Took the Ern apart, last night. Cleaned the rust out from the pivot area, and gave it a little cleaning.
Put it back together, this morning.

Sorry a little late seeing this.
WOW! The color!! Excellent!!! Cordovan/blood? I want to try that to one of my oak brushes. Will you share what color of stain that is? Did you blacken the grain?
Hmmm... hopefully it is not impolite to ask such things? :hmmm:
Such a simplistic/robust style in your work and now you add color. I can't wait to see what you share next. ;)
Finally have my Hessenbruch pinned. Before I did, however, I considered my Steinbaur which was poking through the bottom....
Some scale swaps went well. Lots of different widths and shapes amongst these crazy shades! Re-used the collars. I suppose a seven day set of stripers is forthcoming!

ALSO, My old woodworking landlord exchanged making me a mug shelf for a dozen mugs after I took most all day cleaning gas tanks, carburetors, oil change/tune-up on a generator and a pressure washer.
I have collected some of these, and the others, I dealt Wyobarbershop (Josh) out of. Hope to persuade my other neighbor to laminate it slick black.
Otherwise, I will paint it black.
Pretty cool, I think! Attachment 230229
(btw, if you see your name........I will give it to you. You must send me another with another name in exchange! :) They are cheap!)
