What are you working on?

Is your track paintable? I hope so because then after all the other touches are done you can paint it to match the wall or the baseboard and make it that much more invisible. I think that track is a great idea. You look like you are getting close to taking tour groups through the museum. Are there advance ticket sales?

Hey it looks good lit up. It shines on the mugs too so that's a plus. I thought you claimed to be lazy the other day but I dunno, you've been busy! This room is coming along nicely... kinda like razor heaven in there I think.

I have been making aluminum templates. I attach one side to the template with double sided tape and then cut it 1/8 larger than the template on the bandsaw. I attach the second side and repeat. I glue a tracing of the scales onto a paint stick (Elmer's),then cut it out on the jigsaw, drill the holes on the drill press. Then chuck up a sanding drum in the drill press, use the press table to keep things flat, and sand the edges till just inside the profile line.

Pow.!!! A cheap pattern, and marked for make,or blade.

Nice lighting options Yom.
Been slowly changing over to Led all over the house since the ones I put in the kitchen worked so well.
Like the wifi control option on some of them, as well as the multi color changing aspect for feature lighting.

A very similar system then. Slowly the inventory of scales grows. This is what I have with me. I need to go hit the scrap bin at the boat yard down the road for some more aluminum. I am just using what I have near by.

Sanding slowly away at this Leon Pellera razor...scales look fairly corroded, but one thing at a time....should have this fairly cleaned up in a couple more hours to hopefully hit the stones tomorrow sometime.....

I use the 3k thick, padded sandpaper as a base and just throttle away with the 1k and 2k paper until I can finally use the 3k...will be awhile yet, but relaxing and fun seeing it come back slowly after a good soak in some WD40 to loosen everything.

I finally finished this 7/8" ish W&B. I've had to for close to 2 years now and with the help and direction of Mcbladescar (Mike) I was able to finish this yesterday. First time I've ever made scales from scratch. It's tough and fun and lots of work. They turned out okay a couple things I would tweak if I were to do it again but I won't nit pick to much. Scales are Buffalo with a solid brass wedge. The blade was severely pitted and encrusted with Devils spit. I did what I could with it and left it as is with some character and lots of etch left in it. The grind on the other hand is the wonkiest blade I've ever honed lol. It was a challenge.
