They're a lot of fun, let me tell you. I just love being on mine. Here's what I dream of for a lathe.....

How about turning a 24" diameter bowl over the table on the inside. Made right here in Stratford Ontario. Maybe some day!!! I can dream can't I...
I should add that at our next meet I was thinking of bringing my small lathe and doing a demo on turning brushes. Then maybe a lucky member could walk away with a new brush....

A 24" bowl? How Quaint! A 12" 'throw' When I was 14 I worked for a man in his machine shop and he had a lathe that had a 72 inch throw/that's 6 feet from the center of the chuck to the rail of the bed.Quote:
