You are more than welcome! Bust out the hammer and punch! :roflmao
Problem IS most vintage pins are smaller in diameter than that 1/16 punch.
Compound that with the fact that the pins have been swollen to extremes against the scales by the original peen.
Easier to invest in NEW split-point drill bits and learn how to use them than to keep on bashing and busting.
The split-points have a teeny point with which to begin.
Really work well to establish center!

Good old WD40 helps as well, Roy! Won't stain anything.

Woke up stupid early, back from the plant and riddled with coffee.
Hopped on a few projects before ran out of steam.

Re-turned the base plate for my mold to match this caliber round.

Then since I was on the lathe anyway, I bored out a couple of aluminum pulleys for the new micro machining lathe from 1/2- 5/8" I.D.

Even though I'm using a 90 vdc motor and vfd on this new lathe, there will still be value in having the ability to change gear ratio for higher torque applications.

Scored this a while ago, the seller didnt describe it well (no surprise).. I'm calling it Greaves [emoji16] It wasn't too bad to begin with, but it definitely needed the love.

Unpinned, steamed and straightened the scales a bit, hand-sanded, polished, and popped her back in with shiny new collars.

BeJay, the razor looks terrific! Just flipping through the recent pages and I love the way that turned out and the little spacer in there for a wedge is pretty neat.
Srdjan, great work on the Greaves. Nice and clean now and that's a pretty sweet pin job. Get 'er honed up for Sunday SOTD.

I've been working on a Joseph Elliot a little bit and also removing some knots from some old brushes. I have a few new knots on the way but expect it to take a little while. Spent some quality time cleaning the workshop today, there was horn, acrylic, wood, metal, you-name-it dust on everywhere it seems. Good to put everything back where it goes and get it all clean once in a while, reset and continue on.
