Shake it up good, Stuff tends to separate after sitting awhile! :)

MAAS comes in a tube and also a differing formulation in a bottle. There is a difference between them. I like the tube cream best.
I did not care for the finish of the bottle stuff...it is a thick liquid.
YMMV!!

The larger size can of the tube style cream is mentioned below.
I bought a can of it, 1.1 lbs. Does not separate in the can, but for some reason as I put it in a plastic squeeze bottle for easier use, it will separate over time. Flipping and tapping the bottle on my palm gets it mixed again.
I had used a tube up and decided to buy the can as I use it for lots of things other than razors.
Seems to work the same to me, however! :)
Having drying troubles with the try oil on the scales for the Garantie, so I stripped them and went with the Minwax polycrylic. First coat is dry, and about to give it another .

Then to my next project. A Wosty Conqueror, that was gifted to me by AlanQ. This is another of his Grandfathers razors. I've been able to clear the rust from the gold etch thus far, using a fiberglass pencil. So I figure I should post some pics of it before I proceed any further.

Looks to be gramps, left a bit of lather between the scales the last time he used it. [emoji1]
A successful seperation.
All parts saved.
Ready for thorough cleaning.

What are those scales made of?
Old hard-rubber and Bakelite will polish up fine all by it'self.
The Maas did the trick quite well on the dis colored tang

Lost a little detail at the number, but I can live with that.

All done with just a rag and Maas. Need to find some of that up here. Rag turned brown as I rubbed so I knew it was working. Took maybe 20 minutes of med than light pressure.
Thanks for the tip Tom.

Cool! No worries, Mike!
I seem to have a 1.1 pound can, mostly full! :)
I am working on a second workshop where will be my sandblasting compresors and i whant to make a oyster mushroom chamber there also . Im pretty fascinated and will try to raise my oysters , for dinner
Cant wait to see how well this one turns out.
It isnt my Grandfathers though. His other straight was a King Cutter and jsut needs honing which I'll do myself. I got the conqueror at a local antiques store along with the eidelweiss. Figured they would be appropriate thanx and unlike me you could save the gold.
After you get the humidity right you'll have smooth sailing. Mia taki's are also a great mushroom to grow at home. You'll be a fungi in no time!!!
This is my second wade and butcher. Cocabola, tru oil finish, brass and cocabola wedge.Attachment 234941Attachment 234942Attachment 234943
This is the next one I'm working on. It's a wade and butcher "special"Attachment 234944

And polish the scales for the Garantie.
Attachment 234970
Ooo she perty!
Just a heads up guys.
It's easy to delete the pics in quoted replies & helps keep the clutter down so we don't see repeated images.
Scales are polished for the Garantie. God... I'm really starting to like this minwax, polycrylic finish. Its soooo much faster than tru-oil.

Three coats starting last night, sanded with 600 grit W/D paper, and polished by hand using CA polish by stick fast.

That's a pretty blade man!! Can't wait to see what the finished product looks like
I'm cleaning a couple of Pinaud bottles for this Clubman Friday.:beer2:
Well that's that...
Only thing left is to clean up the hardware tomorrow, and get these two back together, and honed. A little flitz, and some rubbing, made short order of the scales.Attachment 234976
